Aquitaine's rotating mast step

The mast on Aquitaine is a rotating wing mast of the type commpnly found on multi-hulls.  This shows the details of the mast step and the two out riggers which support the shrouds at a wide enough angle to support the mast and allow it to rotate without using spreaders.
